Berlin’s Rent Cap

This is completely different to what I usually post about but I guess it’s talking about Europe and different cities.

I’ve just read about Berlin putting a rent cap on their properties where landlords can’t charge more than 10% more than the local average. Although this means that there will still be a high local average, it does mean that the increase in rent prices won’t go up as high.

If you go down to the woods today…

I’ve gone back to my parents’ house in Marlow, Buckinghamshire (UK) for the summer so when my boyfriend came to visit we decided to go and take a wander in my local woods. Being a tourist in your own city…….. pt I

This post is the first in a series of posts of the same name. Over this summer and my time living in London, I’m going to post a load about the things I get up to in my city. There’s a gallery at the bottom so you can see more photos! 🙂

Every once in a while, my boyfriend and I decide to take what we call a ‘tourist day’ where we just buy a day travelcard and just go for a day out in central London doing what we would do if we were just visiting the city. I love doing it because even though I’ve lived in London for two years and outskirts of London for my whole life and I’ve hardly seen anything of my own city!
